Ghost Recon Frontline makes the series a royal battle now

Tom Clancy s Ghost Recon is a series of military tactical shooter computer game published by Ubisoft. In the series, the gamer supervises of a fictional, newly developed squad of U.S. Military Unique Forces soldiers from Delta Firm, 1st Battalion, 5th Special Forces Team (fifth SFG) stationed at Ft Bragg. Besides the 1st Battalion, fifth SFG classification, this reconnaissance device is entirely fictional, as Special Forces Squadrons currently just support three Firms (A, B and also C). They are often referred to as the Ghosts . Their function resembles various other real world unique operations forces, because their procedures are kept highly categorized. In Tom Clancy s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, it is revealed that the Ghost s device has multiple classifications and also becomes part of JSOC; they are also recognized as the Group for Specialized Tactics (or GST-- where the term Ghost originates from), similar to real JSOC units such as Delta Pressure (1st SFOD-D or CAG) as well as SEAL Group 6 (or DEVGRU). Tom Clancy s Ghost Recon has likewise been novelized by Give Blackwood under the pseudonym David Michaels.

I feel a little bad for the fans of Ghost Recon. It seems that Ubisoft is only interested in the use of the franchise to continue the current trend of the game. Ghost Recon Breakpoint was a live fire service, and now we get Ghost Recon Frontline, a royal battle. Yes, exactly what Ghost Recon need is to copy another trend. It s also pure fps now. What is interesting.

So, what Ghost Recon Frontline? It s a royal battle with more than 100 players. At the very least, Ubisoft seems to play with the Royal Battle genre. You will play in groups of three and you will attach yourself to goals on the entire open map of Drakemoor. Unlike all other royal battles, there is no circle in this one to force players in smaller spaces.

Ghost Recon Frontline also offers a class system. Here are the three classes available:

Assault class offers great durability in short-range fighting and global skill maneuvers. Support class offers superior protection with fortification capabilities. Scoute class can easily recognize the area for the team, revealing and harassing enemies at a distance without fear of reprisals.

Nothing new or particularly exciting there, but it s a bit different for the Royal Battle genre, at least.

Bogdan Bridinel, Creative Director at Ubisoft Bucharest, said this on Ghost Recon Frontline:

We can not wait to see the players reactions at the first Ghost Recon Frontline test. We will work hard to adjust the game accordingly throughout the different live phases planned before the launch, because we want to offer the most refined and entertaining experience possible to the players.

Ubisoft also celebrates 20 years of Ghost Recon. Fans can free download the first game of the series, Tom Clancey s Ghost Recon, on Ubisoft Connect. In addition, the Fallen Ghost DLC is free for all Tom Clancy s Ghost RECCON Wildlands players, and the DLC Deep State Adventure is free for all Tom Clancy s Ghost Recon Breakpoint players on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Playstation 4, Stadia and Windows PC via Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store until October 11th.
